After the untimely demise of the Growth Accelerator program, there’s been a gaping hole in the provision of business support for ambitious growing companies.
But, finally, there’s money around to help you grow and scale your business – hurrah!
And we’re very excited and delighted to be part the winning consortium that will be delivering not one, but TWO brand new funded business support programs in the East Midlands.
Alongside PCA (John Collins) and CMBD (Mike Epton and Brent Warren), who we’ve worked alongside for many years now, we’ll be delivering two programs designed to help companies with growth and scale up potential. The consortium has a number of coaches and trainers, each with deep specialist knowledge of their area. We’re very happy to be their go-to guys on all things financial!
D2N2 / Chamber / Trent University – High Growth program
This is a scale up program and will be working with just 60 companies between now and the end of March 18. There will be a series of targeted workshops on leadership and management, route to market, and of course finance!
In addition each business will receive up to 10 days coaching in the areas they most need support (the number of days depends on the size and ambition of the business)
We don’t have all the details yet but this a partly funded program so some contribution will be made by those taking part.
University of Nottingham – unlocking growth potential
A fully funded program, this will be a series of workshops across the business management disciplines, and I believe, a small amount of coaching. This will run for 18 months.
As we understand it, the programs are open to business in Notts and Derbyshire. Details are still being confirmed but we wanted you to know about it as soon as possible.
What next?
If you’re interested in getting some support for your business, you need to be quick on your toes – with limited places and the lack of any support for a while, we expect the programs to be over subscribed.
Just drop me a line and I’ll forward your details to the Man in Charge who will let you know the next stage. I’m assuming there will be forms to be filled, and some sort of assessment hoops to jump through.
