If you read my blog or work with me you’ll have heard me banging on about Vivid Vision.
A lot.
I love it so much it’s even part of my membership training program in The F Word Academy. If you want to build financial freedom, you’ve got to know what that looks like, right?
In case you haven’t got a clue what I’m talking about I’ll give you a quick overview in a minute, but first I’ll tell you why I’m writing this post.
One of my Academy members Carl Benfield, having absolutely nailed his Vivid Vision, followed through and published his Vision to world (That’s right…. this isn’t a business plan to File and Forget!)
Admittedly nervous, he shared his vision within our membership community, on LinkedIn and on his website.
Now, not only has he had some incredible support and feedback on his audacious plans for his life and business but he’s inspiring others away from the dreary, the old fashioned, the stupefying 3 year business plan!
Carl received this random email from someone he had never met or heard of “I have just read your document. Well done for providing something so inspiring but simple. We are currently writing our three business plan and this has inspired me to write something similar for my own group and the wider firm.”
And even better, this business wants to be become a customer, because they were inspired by his vision!
Another client Darren Toms of Clumber Consultancy also shared his Vivid Vision with the world. The power of his vision has really landed with his clients, and he’s even brought new corporate clients into his business – inspired by his passion and vision for his business and his industry.
Vivid Vision – the 1 minute version!
Vivid Vision isn’t my concept. I first heard about it in a podcast a couple of years ago before I read the book by Cameron Herold.
And it’s the antidote to the boring, soul crushing 3-year business plan.
It’s a beautifully simple and powerful way of creating exciting and inspiring financial life goals and it beats the pants off traditional business planning.
You write it 3 years in the future as it everything has already come true, and it gets you clear on what YOU want your future to look like, and therefore what goals are truly important to make that future happen.
It’s the opposite of the usual watered down business-plan-by-committee, because it’s set by the leader. It’s the leaders’ job to paint a vivid and specific picture of the future, so they can excite their teams to come along. If everyone can see what the leader of the business can see, and where they fit in, they can help to make it come true.
It’s really amazing for me to see Vivid Vision in action and to see it’s moving my clients closer to their dreams of Financial Freedom, AND inspiring other people along the way.
So, are you ready to ditch business planning and embrace Vivid Vision?
